Yes, we understand nudism is illegal in Florida, but this is one beach you can shed your clothes and no one will notice — or care. If this describes you, Playalinda Beach should be on your nude vacation radar. Playalinda is renowned for the best surfing spots in Florida. Year-round guided tours are held by Canaveral National Seashore, teaching important lessons about the fragile eco-system and wildlife. Bring your camera and get some great pictures of the Space Shuttle launch pads located across the beach. Take a journey to Mosquito Lagoon and watch for dolphins, manatee and shore birds.

Some come because it's a regular habit. Others come for the spectacle. Regardless of the reasoning, the secret is out—Playalinda Beach is one of Florida's most popular nude beaches. It's a federally owned beach known for its great surfing. Whether by word of mouth or force of habit, there is a remote stretch of the beach that is also well known as a nude beach. Of course, what better way is there to beat Florida's heat than to take it all off?

Florida Beaches Guide - Playalinda Beach
Located on the east coast of Florida in Cape Canaveral, Playalinda remains a beautiful stretch of undeveloped beach. Known for many years as a nude beach, Playalinda has morphed into a beach for everyone. However, you will still find a big group of singles and couples who trek here to sit in the sun and relax au natural. At Playalinda Beach Florida, we have found that those who wish to bare-it-all will quietly disrobe after settling down on a towel in an out-of-the-way area and go unnoticed. Even though participants here are discriminating, there are better beaches in the surrounding areas in which to take children.

There is a fee to enter. There are thirteen parking areas along a 4-mile road that runs the length of the beach, plus a small parking area at the Eddy Creek Boat Ramp located between Parking Areas 7 and 8. Each has a boardwalk that leads to the beach, and it is only on these boardwalks where visitors are allowed to access the beach. Palmetto bushes and other shrubs cover most dunes at Playalinda Beach. Most boardwalks have stairs at either end and are not handicap accessible.
